Athleta.ca accepts the following forms of payment:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Japanese Credit Bank (JCB)
  • Diners Club
  • Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Athleta and Options Gift Cards

Promo Codes and How To Use Them

Occasionally when you receive a special offer from us, you will also receive a promotional code to use. This code lets us know that the special offer should be applied to your order.

Using the code is easy:

  • Just shop and check out as you normally would.
  • When you get to checkout, enter your promotional code in the space provided.
  • Once you have entered the promotional code and clicked "Apply" you will see a message confirming that the promotional code has been applied to your order.
  • If there is any problem with the promotional code you've entered, an error message will let you know how to correct the problem before you can continue to check out.

In some cases you can enter more than one promotional code for an order.

  • Enter the first promotional code, and click "Apply".
  • Next enter the second promotional code and click "Apply".
  • Complete your checkout process.
  • Not all promotions can be combined. If you enter promotional codes that cannot be combined, we will apply the one that has the biggest benefit to you, and you can apply the unused promotional code to a different order.

When You are Charged

Generally, credit cards are not charged until we ship the item(s) to you. However, when you pay for your order using a debit card that is associated with a checking account, we may pre-authorize your order amount with your card issuer at the time you place the order, which may have an effect on your account balance.

PayPal and Apple Pay are online payment options.

Either can be used to buy merchandise as well as Gift Cards. For additional information, see Buying a Gift Card.

They can be used as a form of payment for orders available for both Curbside and In-Store Pickup.

U.S. Rewards Cardmembers with a Gap Inc. Visa Credit Card will earn 1 point for every $1 spent when using their Gap Inc. Visa Credit Cards through PayPal or Apple Pay. U.S. Rewards Cardmembers with a Gap Inc. Visa Signature Credit Card will earn 2 points for every $1 spent using their Gap Inc. Visa Signature Credit Card through PayPal or Apple Pay.

  • The only Gap Inc. Credit Cards that can be used with PayPal or Apple Pay are Visa and Visa Signature Credit Cards.

You may see a temporary hold on your PayPal purchase amount. These holds usually clear within 10 days and are often applied when a credit or debit card is linked to PayPal. If you have questions, please contact your card-issuing bank or PayPal Customer Service at 1 (888) 221-1161.

PayPal cannot be used:

  • In combination with other online purchase payment options.
  • In store.
  • With certain Gap Inc. Credit Cards or Gift Cards to make an online purchase. Note: Gap Inc. Credit Card Rewards and cardmember-only promotions cannot be applied to an online purchase made using PayPal. Other promotions can be applied.
  • As payment method to place orders via telephone.
  • For orders that include both ship-to-home and In-Store or Curbside Pickup items. They also can't be used for single orders that need to be picked up at multiple stores. For additional information, see Shipping & Handling.

Apple Pay cannot be used:

  • In combination with other online purchase payment options.
  • With certain Gap Inc. Credit Cards or Gift Cards to make an online purchase. Note: Gap Inc. Credit Card Rewards and cardmember-only promotions cannot be applied to an online purchase made using Apple Pay. Other promotions can be applied.
  • As payment method to place orders via telephone.
