High waist doesn't roll down

I love these high waisted shorts. I wear them under my clothes to smooth out my rolls and the waist doesn't roll down lime some of my lulu high waisted joggers do. I am 5'4" and 147 lbs and bought size small. The fabric is also soft and comfortable.

Everyone wants 9" shorts with side pockets—Athleta, why did you stop making them when it's clear your customers want them??? It's forced me to look elsewhere for running shorts; won't be buying them from Athleta anymore until you bring back this no-brainer favorite.

Okay, but I did not like the extremely high waist. True to size, and nice fabric. Would be better with pockets on the sides, like previous versions of the 9" shorts. Returned them.

I own 4 pair of these shorts purchased last year and love them. I decided to purchase one more pair recently since they were on sale. The fabric is not nearly as soft - cheap feeling - and shorts are far more snug, like I purchased one size too small. Comparing the labels - my other 4 pair are made in Vietnam and the newest shorts are made in Mexico. Hoping that the company has not sacrificed quality by selling out to the lowest bidder. Will be returning and hoping for better next time.
